Together with our partners on the island, Freebird Sailing, we have put together a selection of stunning day outs, offering you the opportunity to view the island from the Atlantic Ocean and to see first hand the Pilot Whales and Bottle Nose Dolphins in their natural habitat.
With a fleet of enhanced tailor-made catamarans we are able to provide a wide range of sailings.
Freebird Sailing Luxury Catamarans are widely recognised as having one of the best layouts providing the perfect platform for viewing sea life.
The Catamarans have large netting areas to the front, shaded bar areas and extensive bench seating with padded cushions, they are spacious and comfortable, with passenger capacity limited to ensure this.
Cruises
3 Hour Cruise
Embark on the experience of a lifetime aboard one of our luxury Freebird Catamarans. Set sail across the deep blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean in search of whales and dolphins. From the comfort of your seat or our spacious sunbathing areas, soak up the sun and enjoy the exhilarating sea breeze. Marvel at the sightings of these magnificent mammals, swimming and basking in their natural habitat. Cruise along the spectacular Tenerife coastline to drop anchor for swimming and snorkelling in a secluded bay, a perfect end to an unforgettable sailing. Snacks are served and drinks are complimentary throughout the sailing.
5 Hour Cruise
The 5 hour sailing combines all the usual ingredients of our 3 hour sailing with a cruise further along the West Coastline to the magnificent cliffs of Los Gigantes rising majestically out of the ocean. The catamaran anchors at the foot of the cliffs for swimming and snorkelling. A cold buffet is served and drinks again are complimentary throughout the sailing.
Both cruises Include
- Pick up from resort
- Arrive at Puerto Colon Marina and board one of the luxury catamarans
- Set sail for a 3 or 5 hour cruise
- Head out approx. 2/3 miles offshore in search of Pilot Whales and Bottle Nose Dolphins
- Enjoy the sightings and have plenty of opportunity to take photographs
- Cruise around the picturesque coastline, on a clear day there are great views of Mount Teide
- Stop in a secluded bay for either, swimming in the crystal clear waters of the bay or relax on the spacious decks and top up your tan
- Sail back along the coastline to Puerto Colon Marina
- Arrive back at the marina and return to your resort
Important points to note
- Snacks are served and complimentary drinks on board consist of wine, beer, water and soft drinks
- The 5 hour sailing in on Freebird III and a buffet is served instead of snacks
- Disabled passengers – guests must have some mobility in order to climb the steps to board the catamarans
- Wheelchairs can be stored aboard but for safety guests can not sit in them, they must be able to sit on the seats provided aboard
- Similarly, pushchairs can also be stored aboard but children must sit on their parents laps or on a seat

Sunset Cruise
The Sunset Sailing provides just the right balance of relaxation and enjoyment. Set sail along the picturesque coastline of Tenerife to a secluded bay for an early evening dip in the crystal clear waters or sit back on deck with one of our special rum punches relaxing to the subtle background music, which provides the perfect mood. Drinks are complimentary (as above) throughout the sailing and a BBQ buffet is served. Then head out across the Atlantic and enjoy a glass or two of champagne whilst watching the dying embers of the sun disappear over the horizon, with the lights inland as a sparkling backdrop.
