Beneath the Waves
Although Tenerife is a beautiful island with plenty to see, there is a world that is very rarely explored beneath the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Depending on how adventurous you feel this can be done in two ways, Scuba Diving or in the luxury of the “Yellow Submarine”. So why not explore the hidden underwater paradise of the island.

Scuba Diving
More and more divers are discovering that Tenerife holds the secret to an abundance of excellent and varied scuba diving. Surrounded by sub tropical waters, with a climate to match, diving in Tenerife is possible all year round.

We can offer some of the best Scuba Diving in the world. Tenerife's volcanic origins have created an underwater world of enormous beauty with spectacular rock formations and an abundance of marine life.
Our Partners at Dive Tenerife operate from a Dive Centre which is situated in the picturesque harbour village of Las Galletas just 10 minutes from Amarilla Golf & Country Club and it is from here that most of the diving in Tenerife takes place. They are an accredited PADI and BSAC Centre and offer first class facilities, the full range of PADI diving courses, as well as twice daily diving trips from their fully equipped dive boat.
We know that you will have lots of fun whilst you are diving with Dive Tenerife but they also take your 'safety' and 'well being' very seriously. They are a friendly and professional diving centre and are committed to ensuring your enjoyment, comfort and satisfaction at all times.
Divers from the absolute beginner to the very experienced are always welcome and they can arrange custom diving packages to suit all levels of experience, budget or time constraints. Whether you are thinking about learning to dive, pondering over where to go diving or looking to continue your diving education they will be more than happy to answer your questions and share their experiences with you.
They can accommodate any sized group, catering for the single diver, families and larger groups. The non divers are always welcome to join them on their dive trips - space permitting.
Diving takes place twice daily, 09:30 and 13:00hrs, with lunch taken between dives at one of the many excellent tapas bars that ajoin the seafront promenade in Las Galletas. It's a very relaxing and enjoyable way to spend your surface interval and exchange diving stories with your buddies.
Dive Boat
They operate their own dive boat (they don't use the 'boat taxi' system commonly used in Tenerife) which will provide you with fast and reliable transfers to some of the best dive sites that Tenerife has to offer.
The boat is equipped with VHF Radio, First Aid and Oxygen Kits and they also ensure that they have a qualified boat handler to provide safety cover at all times divers are in the water.
Diving Equipment
If you don't have your own diving equipment don't worry, they also provide equipment rental and very reasonably priced VAT free equipment sales on Cressi, Scubapro, Mares and Suunto brands.
They also have a separate equipment repair and maintenance facility which also houses their Bauer Compressor.
Tenerife Dive Sites
The majority of the scuba diving in Tenerife takes place off the south and west facing coasts of the island where the dive sites vary in depth from 6 to 50+ metres. Scuba diving in Tenerife is possible all year round with water temperatures ranging from 19 degrees C in the winter to 24 degrees C in the summer months. Visibility generally varies between 15-30 metres.
Underwater, the land drops away from the coastline in a series of slopes and steps, giving divers easy access to the walls, caves and swim through's that make up the underwater scenery.
There is abundant marine life to be found, from the small arrow crab, octopus and glass eye fish to the larger rays and barracudas. Angel sharks can also be spotted from December through to April.
