Amarilla Golf & Country Club
The resort is one of Tenerife’s best kept secrets but more and more people are now starting to discover the charm and laid back pace of life which ensures a relaxing holiday. Amarilla Golf & Country Club is also just a 15 minute drive from the hustle and bustle of the two bigger resorts in the south, Los Cristianos and Playa de la Americas. Here you will find a good selection of beaches and a larger range of bars, restaurants and shops, including some excellent shopping centres where you will find everything from designer clothing to watches and jewellery.
Amarilla Golf Club
Amarilla Golf course is a par 72, 6077 metre expansive course with spectacular ocean backdrops and views to the mountains of the North. It was first designed by Donald Steel who has since been commissioned to remodel the famous Jubilee course at St Andrews, his layout makes challenging use of the natural contours, including a daunting tee shot over a rocky inlet at the short 5th, which can call for anything from a wedge to a six iron.
Experienced green keepers are responsible for keeping the course in the prime playing condition it has now reached. Their efforts are fully supported by the members of the club and the professionals who gladly welcome you into their twice-weekly competitions.
Finally what better way to relax after a hard round than the impressive club house where you can socialise in luxurious surroundings, the terrace offers a swimming pool and spa with wonderful sea views. If you are dining out the Ala Carte restaurant is superb. The clubhouse is open to members and non-members alike. At present there are numerous other courses on Tenerife. It really is a golfer’s paradise.
Amarilla Sailing and Water Sports Club
Located in the recently completed leisure marina is the Amarilla Sailing and Water Sports School, they have an impressive selection of sports available, with quality modern equipment for hire for the experienced enthusiasts and courses and tuition for the beginner. They offer sailing, jet skiing, windsurfing, scuba diving and water skiing. Afterwards you can enjoy a drink and a snack at the traditional Canarian "tappas" bar.
Pebble Bridge Commercial Centre
At the head of the site is the Commercial Centre known as Pebble Bridge, already constructed and open, the centre offers a good selection of eateries and entertainment.
Frosties Sports Bar has a simple English menu at good value for money and in addition to screening all the live sporting events has regular entertainment.
China City is a quality Chinese Restaurant with an extensive menu, beautifully furnished and you always receive a warm friendly welcome.
The Terrace Café bar as the name suggests has a large terrace with stunning views to the sea. The international menu caters for every taste and you can either have their "light bites" from the bar menu or full a la Carte in the traditional restaurant.
For your shopping needs there is a supermarket, video shop, duty free shop, gifts, hairdressing, Communications Company, fast food take away, laundry, property management, car hire and a reception. Also in close proximity there is the Aries bar, Premier Bar, Fairways Club and ninth hole all offering good food and entertainment.
